Field
We grow the best 100% Angustifolia Haw agaves for our own production, ensuring quality from the beginning with sustainable agricultural practices.
In the arid heart of Sonora, Hojas Mágicas was born from the vision of a family, which took inspiration from the growing tequila industry in Jalisco and the mezcal industry in Oaxaca to create a unique project of an emblematic drink of the region. Their goal was to rescue and promote the traditional production of bacanora.
With a deep dedication to craftsmanship and quality, this family set out to not only craft a spirit of excellence, but also honor Sonora's rich cultural heritage.

Baked
Our pineapples are cooked in a pit oven with a volcanic stone wall, a traditional method that infuses the agaves with a characteristic and authentic flavor.

Grinding
The already cooked pineapples go through manual and automatic grinding for an exquisite flavor, where the agave juice is extracted that will later become our distinctive Bacanora.

Fermentation
Depending on the season, fermentation lasts approximately 48 hours in stainless steel vats, using wild yeasts that provide complexity and uniqueness to the flavor profile.

Distillation
Bacanora Hojas Mágicas undergoes three distillations in a stainless steel still with copper coils, a meticulous process that guarantees the purity and quality of each drop.

Repose
Once distilled, our Bacanora is left to rest for 3 months in glass so that the flavours soften and concentrate to their maximum expression.

Bottling
Finally, each bottle is filled and sealed by hand, ensuring that our Bacanora reaches you in its purest and most authentic state.
